How the website works
The website is built with HTML, CSS, and vanilla JavaScript. Emoji images are not fetched from an external service. PNG downloads are rendered locally in the browser from the emoji font available on the visitor’s device.

Searches and PNG generation occur in the browser. Favorites and recently viewed IDs use localStorage on the current device. The site does not require an account.
Editorial approach
We aim for practical explanations that distinguish common meaning from context-dependent interpretation. Platform designs may differ, so we describe Unicode characters rather than claiming one vendor image is universal.
